Abstract

Bali has developed tourism centered around Balinese culture, deeply influenced by Hindu teachings and the Tri Hita Karana philosophy. The Provincial Government of Bali emphasizes the importance of community involvement in tourism development, with the hope of enhancing the well-being of the local population and boosting the development of local human resources. One of the concepts currently being developed is the establishment of Village Tourism. Village tourism is an example of sustainable development, aligning with the current global agenda. The concept is expected to provide diverse attractions from the common mass tourism trend, it is considered an alternative form of tourism that offers a personalized experience to each visitor and is capable of stimulating the local economy. It serves as one of the solutions to reduce poverty through the employment of local residents. Sidan Village in Gianyar Regency is one of the emerging village tourism destinations. Sidan Village is actively working on improving the tourism infrastructure. Kissidan Ecohills, planned as the gateway to Sidan Village Tourism, is currently facing several issues, as conveyed by the village head. These issues include parking development, the establishment of a shuttle terminal, and a rest area for drivers. These challenges are identified as factors hindering the integration of Sidan Village Tourism and diminishing the comfort of visitors to Sidan Village. To address these issues, this project focuses on designing a concept for the parking area, shuttle terminal, and driver rest area, all centered around Kissidan Ecohills.
